Instructional Coherence at Scale

Audience: Staff at PIE Network member organizations

When core instruction, intervention, and tutoring pull in different directions, the students furthest behind carry the cost. Instructional coherence is the design principle that ties them together, and getting it right is as much an implementation challenge as a policy one. In this session, Devon Gadow (TNTP) will present findings from new reports, Coherence at Scale and its companion Coherence by Design. Then, Molly Gurny (Columbia Law School’s Center for Public Research and Leadership) will examine what it takes to make those levers durable and where PIE Network members can advocate for coherence.
