Jennifer Alexander

For over 25 years, Jen has worked at the national, state, and local levels to bridge gaps between education policy, research, politics, and practice to ensure every student in every community gets the education needed to thrive. Before joining PIE Network in 2019, Jen served as CEO of ConnCAN, a pacesetting model of effective state-level education advocacy. For years, Jen was an active PIE Network member, and she's an alumna of the first Network Leadership Institute Cohort. Jen applies the hard-fought lessons she learned on the ground to build the Network's strength, connectivity, and impact and loves supporting incredible Network leaders across the US. She began her career in Washington, DC, working in policy, research, and nonprofit leadership. Jen is a graduate of George Peabody College at Vanderbilt University and holds a Master of Public Policy from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. She serves on the Board of Directors of her local community foundation and of Achievement First Amistad Academy. Jen lives in Connecticut with her two teenage daughters and one goofy dog.
