Brian Gilson

Brian's 15+ years of experience in K-12 education have focused on supporting leaders and organizations to maximize their effectiveness and improve educational outcomes for all students, especially those from historically marginalized communities. Brian comes to PIE Network from The Holdsworth Center, where he supported school district leaders throughout Texas to build more effective organizations through their internal talent pipelines. Prior to that, he served as Chief People Officer of the Tennessee Achievement School District's directly-operated schools in Memphis, where he was a Broad Resident. Brian also was a leader in Teach For America's Nashville region for several years, serving in several roles focused on building the capacity of teachers and aspiring school leaders. He started his career as an Emerging Bilingual Teacher in Memphis and has also served on multiple local and nonprofit boards.
